Firaxis Games Will Not Use 2K Launcher for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII

In the latest Civilization VI Monthly Challenge update, Firaxis Games removed the 2K Launcher due to technical issues experienced by the players on PC. This issue was addressed initially back a couple of months ago by the Devs and they provided a troubleshooting solution for it on Steam as well. However, despite the solution, the 2K Launcher has been a problem since, preventing players from accepting the Terms of Services.

Moreover, in addition to the removal of the 2K Launcher from Civilization VI, Firaxis Games has also mentioned on the Steam page for Civilization VI that Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will not use the 2K Launcher on PC.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is the upcoming title of the award-winning strategy game franchise which was revealed at Summer Games Fest. The title is set to launch next year on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
