Home and Back Again Quest Guide in Palia

The Home and Back Again is a main guide quest in Palia. It is the third and final quest for the Courier Pet and Saddlebag functionality that allows the player to get a free pet. In this guide, we will walk you through the Home and Back Again quest in Palia.

How to Complete the Home and Back Again Quest in Palia

Starting the Quest

The Home and Back Again quest begins automatically upon completing the Nurture of Shadows quest for Tamala. You can find the Home and Back Again quest under the Main Story tab in the Quests section.

Ask Ulfe for help

As the quest begins, go to the Beast’s Lair (Cave) in Elderwood to meet with Ulfe. Speak to Ulfe to ask for help and go through the dialogues. However, before he can help you, he needs to eat some Umbraan food to replenish his energy.

Cook Bean Burger and Flowtato Fries with Ketchup

Now, it is time to cook Bean Burger and Flowtato Fries. Both of these are the new recipes added with the recent Elderwood expansion update.

NOTE: If you don’t have unlocked these recipes, you must first learn them. Check out the links attached to the recipe names to learn how to unlock them.

After acquiring the recipes, go to your cooking appliances and start making the following meals.

• Bean Burger
• Flowtato Fries with ketchup

Once done, bring the food to Ulfe at the cave. Speak to Ulfe and go through the dialogues.

Gather the ingredients

After speaking with Ulfe, you need to gather the following ingredients for the pup.

• 2x Ogopuu Skin: Hunt the Ogopuu creatures in Elderwood and loot their drops.
• 2x Muskin: Craft it at the Fabric Loom using any Mushrooms.
• 1x Silk Thread: Catch bugs of Rare and Epic rarities to collect Silk Threads from their loot.

Find someone to help you stitch the pack together

After gathering all of the ingredients, you need to find someone who can help you stitch the pack together. Go to the Kilima Valley and speak to Jel. He will gladly help you in stitching the pack together.

Ask Tamala for solutions

Open the map to find Tamala and go to her. Speak with Tamala and tell her everything. She will give you the list of final items.

Gather the items

Here are the items that you need to gather.

• 1x Pumpkin Stew: Purchase the recipe from the Cooking Guild Store (requires Level 8), then cook it at the Standard Stove.
• 1x Ogopuu Scale: Hunt the regular Ogopuu creatures in Elderwood and loot their drops.
• 1x Shmole Spore: Hunt the regular Shmole creatures in Elderwood and loot their drops.
• 1x Black Pearl: Open the Elder Clam Mushrooms to have a chance of finding the Black Pearl.

Return to Tamala

After gathering all of the final items, go back to Tamala. Go through the dialogues, and the quest will conclude.

Rewards

Completing the Home and Back Again quest in Palia unlocks the Courier Saddlebag feature as a reward.
