Lock and Key Quest Guide in Palia

Lock and Key is a new Discovery quest in Palia that begins by acquiring the Water Key. This quest leads to opening four different chests of a famous Pirate, Prismbeard. In this guide, we will walk you through the Lock and Key quest in Palia.

How to Complete the Lock and Key Quest in Palia

Starting the Quest

To start the Lock and Key quest, the player has to get the Water Key by catching a Grumpy Granite Rockhopper. It is a common Rockhopper bug that you can find in the Okanaa Bog, De Mer Dock, and Deep Woods areas of the Elderwood. Upon catching a grumpy Granite Rockhopper, there is a chance that you might pick up the Water Key. If you do, open the inventory and read the note on the Water Key to initiate the Lock and Key quest.

Find the first lock

The first lock that you are looking for is the Water Lock, which is located inside a hidden cave south of the Okanaa Bog area. It is the same cave that Auni will show during the Adventure on the Horizon quest. The exact location of the cave is shown in the image below.

Go to the cave and interact with the entrance to go inside. After that, continue straight to take a slide to reach the bottom. Once there, turn right and you will see a small area with a Water logo on the wall. This area will have a chest inside. Interact with it to open the first lock. Looting the Water Chest will give you another key, Key with the Earth Symbol.

Find the second lock

To find the Earth lock, go to the left side, and there will be a path going up. Continue along the path until you see a staircase on the right leading to a door. Before going there, continue straight past the staircase, and you will see the earth symbol on the wall next to a chest. Interact with the chest to find the Key with the Fire Symbol.

Find the third lock

To find the Fire lock, go up the staircase leading to a door. The fire lock is to the right of the door below the staircase. Interact with the chest to find the Key with the Air Symbol.

Find the last lock

The last lock is just to the right of the fire lock. Turn to the right to see a drop below. Drop down to the drop and you will see the chest. Interact with the chest to unlock it. This will conclude the Lock and Key quest in Palia.
