Heartopia offers various hobbies to tackle daily and experience the cozy environment. A couple of the most adorable hobbies to unlock are Dog Caring and Cat Caring. As the name of the hobbies suggests, these hobbies will let you adopt a pet to care for them. These hobbies will allow you to bring along your pets to exciting ventures across Whale Island. In this guide, we will tell you how to get pets and take care of them in Heartopia.

How to Get Pets in Heartopia

To get pets in Heartopia, players will have to reach Developer’s Guild Level 12 and upgrade it to earn the Hobby Expansion Tickets. You will earn 2 Hobby Expansion Tickets from Guild Level 12, allowing you to spend the tickets for both Cat Caring and Dog Caring Hobbies. Upon getting the Hobby Expansion Tickets, you can visit Mrs. Joan at the pet store in the town center. Speak with Mrs. Joan, and you will get the option to submit the Hobby Expansion Ticket for the Cat Caring hobby.

NOTE: The ability to learn the Dog Caring hobby unlocks immediately after learning the Car Caring hobby.

After submitting the Hobby Expansion Ticket, speak with Mrs. Joan again to initiate the adoption process. You can choose 1 cat from three breeds. Choose your cat, name them, and select the ‘adopt’ option to complete the process. Once done, the pet will be sent to your home.

The next time you speak with Mrs. Joan will give you the option to learn the Dog Caring hobby. Same as before, submit the hobby ticket, go through the adoption process, and you will get a pet dog.

How to Take Care of Pets in Heartopia

Pets are quite friendly in Heartopia, and it is very easy to take care of them. Similar to wild animals, you can pet your cat and dog, and give them food to strengthen the bond. Moreover, you can bathe the pets. As you increase the bond level, the pets will start leaving gifts for you. You will be able to take your pets out with you to explore Whale Island. Last but not least, Mrs. Joan will update her pet store with pet toys. You can purchase various pet toys from her for your pets.

How to Get More Pets in Heartopia

You can adopt 1 cat and 1 dog at the start, but as you upgrade the Cat Caring and Dog Caring hobbies, you can adopt multiple cats and dogs. The Cat Caring and Dog Caring hobbies provide various skills, including the ones to increase the maximum number of pets you can have. For Cats, you need to pick the “Cattery VIP” skill, and for dogs, you need to pick the “Dog Arrives” skill. There are multiple of these skills down the hobby tree, so the more you pick, the more you can adopt.
