How to Unlock Animal Care in Heartopia

The Animal Care is one of the features that allows you to feed various wild animals to befriend them. Befriending animals will unlock petting interactions with them and let you earn gifts from the animals at troughs. However, you cannot feed animals from the start of the game. You must raise your DG Level and complete the main quests to unlock the “Animal Care” quest in the Town Guide. It is the quest from Annie.

Speak with Annie, and you will get the objective to find a trough for Sika Deer in the forest. Head over to the location and fill up the trough with some food. It will complete the quest and unlock the rest of the troughs for other animals. Now, you will be able to explore the regions and find troughs.

Although you can fill up troughs with any food, filling them up with the animal’s favorite food will increase the bond quickly.
