How to Get Strauss&Broda Machete in Dying Light: The Beast

The world of Castor Woods has a lot of hidden secrets and rewards for players to discover in Dying Light: The Beast. Exploration helps a lot in finding unique items for survival and combat. One of the early legendary weapons that players can acquire is the Strauu&Broda Machete. It is a one-handed machete with high slashing damage and bonus damage on head strikes. Acquiring this weapon early will allow players to eliminate tougher zombies easily. In this guide, we will tell you how to get Strauss&Broda Machete, a Legendary Machete weapon in Dying Light: The Beast.

Location of Strauss&Broda Legendary Machete in Dying Light: The Beast

The Strauss&Broda Machete is located in a utility cabinet inside a locked room at the top of the building near the Old Hideout in the Industrial Zone. If you head northeast from the Old Town, you will reach the Cement Gardens on the left,where you can activate the Old Hideout. If you go to the right, opposite of Cement Gardens, you will see a big utility store.

How to Get Strauss&Broda Machete in Dying Light: The Beast

Upon locating the utility building in the Industrial Zone, go to its right side. Clear the zombies in the area and climb up the bins to reach the ladder at the back of the building. Now, climb the ladder to reach the top of the building. Go to the center to see a small encampment and a locked blue door. Interact with the door and complete the lockpick mini-game to open the door. The lockpick difficulty for this door is hard, so you might have to be a bit more patient to open it.

Once inside, look to your left to see a white utility cabinet on the wall. You cannot open it like the regular cabinets; instead, you have to knock on it several times. It took us 77 knocks before the utility cabinet opened, revealing Strauss&Broda Machete inside. So, be patient and keep knocking on the cabinet until Kyle opens it up. Once done, pick up the machete to acquire it.

NOTE: Strauss&Broda is a unique Machete weapon, meaning you cannot repair it.

If you want to use Strauss&Broda Machete again, you will need to craft it using its blueprint.
