To unlock the Jump in Pokémon Pokopia, you must restore an ocean fishing spot for Magikarp.

Restore an Ocean Fishing Spot Habitat at the Shore

The Ocean Fishing spot is the primary requirement for unlocking Magikarp Pokémon. To do so, find a trace of a new Pokémon beside a fishing rod on the shore. The shore is on the southeast of the beginning area. You can reach the shore by breaking the blocks using the Rock Smash move.Once you are at the shore, look for a fishing rod. Interact with the sparkling spot to find a new habitat, Ocean Fishing Spot. Moreover, go to the left to find Magikarp. Speak with Magikarp, and he will ask you to build a home. The home for Magikarp is the Ocean Fishing Spot.

To complete the Ocean Fishing Spot, you must place down a Log Chair. You can craft a Log Chair at the workbench using 1x Small Log. The Small Log is gathered from tree logs using the “Cut” transformation, which is obtained from Scyther. Once you have a Log Chair, put it down beside the fishing rod to restore the Ocean Fishing Spot habitat.

Now, go back to Magikarp and talk to him. He will appreciate you for the home and teach you his special move, Jump. It will unlock the Jump, a permanent feature that you can use.
