Nintendo has sold 1,186,757 copies of Pokemon Sword and 795,000 copies of Pokemon Shield in Japan

A few days ago, we informed you that Pokemon sword became the best-selling game in the middle east. Today we’re going to share with you an interesting sales data which belongs to Japan. According to sales data Nintendo has sold 1,186,757 copies of Pokemon Sword and 795,123 copies of Pokemon Shield in Japan. dengekionline releases the sales data from December 16 to 22.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are 2019 role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch.

It seems Pokemon shield’s reputation isn’t good in Japan. Pokemon sword sold 161,000 copies from December 16 to 22 while Pokemon shield sold only 10,000 copies.

It is expected that Nintendo could sell around 3 Million copies of Pokemon sword/shield before 2020.
