Nintendo spent $2.6 million on TV ads to promote Animal Crossing: New Horizons in March
According to VentureBeat, Nintendo spent over $14 million on TV advertising in the U.S in March 2020. Furthermore, the report says that a big part of this amount was spent to promote Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
As reported by VentureBeat, Nintendo ran 20 ads over 3,000 times, generating 793 million TV ad impressions. The spot with the biggest placement budget (est. $2.6 million) was “Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Spending a big amount on Tv Ads Nintendo took the first position in the list of the top five gaming industry brands in March.
The second position goes to Bethesda Softworks, with an estimated spend of $866,251 on two spots that aired 425 times, resulting in 116.8 million TV ad impressions.
In the third position, we see Xbox with $641,000. GameFly was fourth, with $439,000, and Activision spent $221,000 on a single ad for Call of Duty: Warzone.
