No Man’s Sky: How to Find New Planets with Floating Islands

The Worlds Part 1 update of No Man’s Sky has added several new planets to the game with some of them containing floating islands and waterfalls. Finding these planets can be tricky as not all Systems have planets with floating islands and waterfalls. However, there are some tricks that you can use to find a planet quickly.

This guide will help you how to find new planets with Floating Islands in No Man’s Sky.

How to Find New Planets with Floating Islands in No Man’s Sky

The floating islands on a planet are rare and can be found easily by scanning the planets with the Scanner Room in the Freighter. If you have a Freighter with an upgraded Warp Drive, open the Warp Map on your Freighter and start looking for the Systems with 4-6 planets in them. After finding such a System, engage the Warp Drive to it.

Once there, you can scan the planets manually with your ship or you can use the Scanner Room upgrade in your Freighter to scan all the planets in the System at once. The planet that you are looking for is the one that is either a Paradise Planet or a Bountiful Planet.

NOTE: The Paradise Planet only shows up if you are on relaxed or Normal difficulty. Playing the game on Survival difficulty will not show Paradise planets.

After finding the Paradise Planet, hop into your Starship and make your way to the planet to discover the Floating Islands. However, not all Paradise planets have floating islands, so you will have to explore the other planets to find one with floating islands and waterfalls.

Portal Code to a Planet with Floating Islands and Waterfalls

In case you are struggling to discover the planet with floating islands or don’t have an upgraded Freighter, you can enter the portal code shown in the image below to teleport directly to the planet.

Upon reaching the planet with floating islands and waterfalls, you can find a suitable place on the floating islands to build your new base.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
