palia a royal welcome quest guide

A Royal Welcome is the first introductory quest to the new Royal Highlands adventure zone in Palia. This starts off the new story questline, where players get to meet with the new villager, Eshelon, and get to witness the Beast of Elderwood. It is crucial that you have completed the Elderwood main story before you can pursue the new storyline. In this guide, we will walk you through the A Royal Welcome quest in Palia.

How to Complete the A Royal Welcome Quest in Palia

The A Royal Welcome quest begins automatically after completing the Elderwood storyline. This quest is a continuation of the Elderwood storyline, and introduces the new character, Eshelon, and shows the Elderwood Beast.

Meet your party by the De Mer Dock and travel to Royal Highlands

As the quest begins, head to the Elderwood zone and make your way to the De Mer Dock location, southwest of the zone. Once there, speak with Subira, Tamala, and Ulfe. After that, go down the docks and interact with the gate to travel to the Royal Highlands adventure zone. Upon loading into the zone, a brief cutscene will play. After that, speak with Subira, Tamala, and Ulfe, and then follow them to the nearby hunting camp.

Investigate the Lonely Glen

After speaking with the villagers at the hunting camp, follow the objective marker to Hassian. You will see Hassian standing next to a trapped horse in some type of crystal. Speak with Hassian to learn about Dawnspur (horse breed).

Free the creature from its amber prison

This will initiate the “Before the Dawn” quest, requiring you to free Dawnspur (horse) from Amber prison. Equip your Pick tool and start hitting the orange Amber crystals on the feet of the horse.

Bring local flowers to Dawnspur

After freeing the horse, speak with Hassian again, and he will request you to bring some flowers for Dawnspur. There will be some Dawnspur Lily flowers around the horse. Go and forage three flowers in the area, and then bring them to Hassian. Go through the dialogues, and the quest will conclude. As a reward, you will unlock Dawnspur, your first horse in Palia.

Regroup at the Campsite

After freeing the horse, head back to the campsite to speak with Subira, Tamala, and Hassian. Subira believes that the Elderwood Beast is somewhere in Royal Highlands. She will ask you to go on a hunting trip with the group.

Follow the others

Now, get on the horse and travel west to join the others in the hunt. As you head west, you will meet Subira and Tamala along the way. Speak with them, and head to the canyon to meet up with Hassian and Ulfe. From there, go deeper into the canyon to enter a cave.

Look for evidence of the Beast

Go through the giant pipe to enter the cave. Head to the backside of the cave to find a large pile of beast droppings. Close to the pile is a campfire, which is another piece of evidence. From here, go to the left, and you will see some claw marks on the wall, the final piece of evidence. After finding the evidence, speak with Hassian in the cave.

Find Tamala and Subira, and Follow Ulfe

Exit the cave and head in the northwest direction to find Tamala and Subira. Speak with them and then continue on the trail to follow Ulfe. Keep following the objective marker on the map to reach Ulfe.

As you reach the final stop, a brief cutscene will play, introducing Eshelon and the Elderwood Beast. Go through the dialogues, and the A Royal Welcome quest will conclude. Moreover, it will initiate the “Administrative Access” quest.

Rewards

  • 25 Renown Points
  • Beans on Toast (recipe)

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
