Palia: How to Get the Standard Axe

In Palia, players can acquire a variety of tools as they settle into the world of Palia. Each tool has an enhanced version, which players can opt to get. These enhanced versions come with their respective crafting recipes, necessitating both Gold and specific materials. One such enhanced version is the Standard Axe, designed to expedite tree-cutting and increase Sapwood yield.

How to get the Standard Axe in Palia

To get the Standard Axe, you need to achieve Level 3 in the Foraging Activity. Upon reaching this milestone, you can unlock the Standard Axe recipe from Ashura, the leader of the Foraging Guild. The recipe for the Standard Axe is available for purchase from Ashura’s store for 250 Gold. Once you’ve gathered the required Gold, interact with Ashura and press the F Button to access his store. Locate and purchase the Standard Axe recipe. Once acquired, you must then gather the necessary materials as outlined in the recipe to craft the Standard Axe at the Worktable.

Crafting the Standard Axe

Crafting the Standard Axe requires the following materials:

• 1x Makeshift Axe
• 20x Sapwood Plank
• 5x Copper Bar

The Makeshift Axe serves as the initial axe provided by Ashura at the beginning of the game. It acts as a prerequisite material for crafting the enhanced version of the axe. Sapwood Planks are crafted at the Basic Sawmill, while Copper Bars are produced at the Basic Smelter. Ensure that you’ve unlocked access to these crafting stations to produce the necessary materials. Alternatively, you can purchase these required materials from the Blacksmith in Kimila Village, albeit at a higher Gold cost.

Once you’ve gathered all the required materials, proceed to the Worktable and navigate to the Tools tab. Locate and select the Standard Axe recipe, and initiate the crafting process. Once successfully crafted, the Standard Axe will automatically replace your old Axe.

In contrast to the Makeshift Axe, the Standard Axe features a durability meter. Each time you fell trees, the axe’s durability decreases. To restore its durability to its full potential, you must repair it using either a Repair Kit or Gold at the Anvil located within the Blacksmith Shop in Kimila Village.
