PlatinumGames confirms that they want to launch Star Fox Zero on Nintendo Switch
Many of you probably have Star Fox Zero in mind, one of the few Wii U games that didn’t end up coming to Nintendo Switch. Well, today we have some interesting statements about it.
Atsushi Inaba, director of PlatinumGames, has confirmed that, from this developer, they would like to bring the game to the hybrid console. Remember that this company was involved in its development, and now he has said in an interview that they would like to offer the port for Nintendo Switch.
It’s not okay that people can’t play older games because they are locked on one platform, so of course, if possible, we would like to bring any of the older titles to newer platforms. It depends on whether it is really possible, but yes, if the opportunity arises, it is certainly something we would like to think about.
The important thing to remember is that since it is a Nintendo IP, the ideas come from Miyamoto-san himself. We have to respect what Miyamoto-san wants to do. Of course, there was a lot of talk at the time between Platinum and Nintendo, but if the opportunity arose to bring Star Fox Zero to the Switch again, it would be more of a question of whether they would like to offer that opportunity and of course we would respect their decision.
