This week, Nintendo will be talking about Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in the new Pokémon Presents. According to a rumor, one of the new features in the game is the presence of alternate versions of the Dialga and Palkia Legendaries. The speculation stems from the fact that French retailer Micromania will be offering the two Legendaries as pre-order bonuses (but they haven’t been shown at the moment, so it’s “suspicious”).

Obviously, this is a rumor, so it’s not certain that the two Pokémon will appear in a new form in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. If so, however, the question remains as to what form they would take. In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, various Pokémon appeared with a new Mega Evolution, while the Legendary Groudon and Kyogre appeared in a “Primal” form. It is possible that the same will happen with Dialga and Palkia.
For confirmation, however, we’ll have to wait for Pokémon Presents. Remakes of older Pokémon chapters tend to include new elements, new versions of the pocket monsters to game areas, and narrative elements: will this also be the case with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?
