Pokemon’s Effort Values (EVs)

All the Pokemon in the game have a specific number of EVs and when you encounter the Pokemon and defeat them, they will give you the Effort Values which increases your Pokemon Stat. So basically, defeating the Pokemon in the battles increase the same stat of your Pokemon as the EV of the opponent. You will get the Effort Values by defeating other Pokemon or by collecting the items that will give certain Effort Values.

For proper utilization of your Pokemon, you do need to get only those Effort Values according to the Type of the Pokemon so you don’t waste the Effort Values in the other stats.

Checking your Pokemon’s Effort Values is not simpler as it sounds because it sounds like you would be able to see it from the summary but you won’t find any description of Effort Values, you’ll only be able to see the stats of the Pokemon. To check the Effort Values of the Pokemon, you need to meet with a specific NPC in the game. The NPCs in the game have a very useful role because they allow you to do different sorts of things for your Pokemon. One of the things that a specific NPC can do for you is tell you the Effort Values of your Pokemon.

To find the NPC, you need to go to a town named “Levincia”. This town is on the East side of the Great Crater of Paldea. Players will be able to get into the town through the East Province (Area Two). Players will get to this town while following the Victory Road Path. There is also a Gym Leader in this town that players have to defeat in order to complete the game. Once you have reached the town, You need to go towards the middle of the town and you will reach a small garden. There will be an NPC standing on the ground with her Pokemon.
