Pre-order Watch Dogs: Legion for PS5 costs more than the PS4 version with a free next-gen update

Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs Legion will run on the PS5 and Xbox Series X in 4K with 30 fps and raytracing support

The PlayStation website has started collecting Legion pre-orders for the PS5. Despite the fact that the NextGen patch for the game will be free, the price of the standard edition of the action differs from that indicated in the PS Store for the current generation version: 4999 rubles against 4499.

At the same time, the prices for the extended editions of Gold and Ultimate are the same for both consoles — 6699 and 7279 rubles.

This is not the only game with a similar price difference: for example, digital editions of Hitman 3 for PS4 in the PS Store are also cheaper than the PS5 versions on the Sony website. At the same time, the stealth action game can also be upgraded to the next generation for free.

What exactly this is connected with is unclear. Most likely, the prices for the PlayStation site were set separately, since they consider it as a separate store. Perhaps after the release of the PS5, it will become the main platform for the platform: this is indirectly indicated by the fact that versions of games for the next-generation console can be pre-ordered only there, but not in the PS Store.

In addition, the Watch Dogs: Legion page indicates that the release on the PlayStation 5 will still take place on November 12, that is, at the start of sales of the console itself. Previously, the Ubisoft website indicated a different release date — November 24.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
