Remnant 2: How to Defeat The Red Prince (Boss Fight)

The Red Prince is one of the difficult bosses in Remnant 2 that players can choose to fight. He is not one of the main bosses but players will meet him as they progress through the story and reach Gilded Chambers dungeon. At the very end of the dungeon, players will get to talk to him and players will be able to fight him if they refuse his offer or insult him. Players can skip the fight by accepting the tribute and come back later in the game to him if they want to fight him.

How to Defeat The Red Prince in Remnant 2

The Red Prince has several fire attacks and can teleport around the arena and summon clones of himself. The basic attacks of Red Prince are two kinds of Projectiles and a three-hit combo slashing attack with the sword. The Red Prince will use these attacks in the first phase of the fight.

• Fiery Slash projectiles: The Red Prince will send out several fiery slash projectiles toward the players that can be dodged by rolling. Getting hit by any projectile will inflict players with a CURSE effect.
• Flaming Swords: The Red Prince will shoot out flaming swords that can also be dodged by rolling. Getting hit by any flaming sword will inflict players with a CURSE effect.
• Teleport Stab: The Red Prince will teleport near the position of players and do a stab with the sword. After doing the stab, the Red Prince will swing the sword in a three-hit combo that players need to roll in the opposite direction of the swing of the sword to dodge.

The only weak spot of the Red Prince is his head. Players need to shoot his head as many times as they can to significantly deal Critical Damage to him. The fighting arena is pretty big so it is easy to reposition but the Red Prince will do a Teleport Stab attack if players go far from him. While players reposition themselves, they need to be ready to dodge out of the way of the stab and then a three-hit combo.

If players are using the Handler Archetype or they are in a party with other players then it will be easy to hit him while he focuses on other targets. Using the elemental damage against the Red Prince is greatly effective so do that as well.

As players depleted almost half of Red Prince’s HP, the Red Prince will summon a fire blizzard that will surround the arena. Players need to be inside the fire blizzard if they want to stay alive in the fight. Anyone who goes out of the fire blizzard will be killed instantly. So, stay in the middle of the arena as the fire blizzard closes and be ready to shoot the Red Prince and dodge his projectiles & combo attacks.  

• Fire Blizzard: The Red Prince will create a fire blizzard in the arena and the only safe place is the center of the arena. Stay in the middle of the arena and dodge attacks of Red Prince to stay on the safe side.
• Clones: As players deplete further HP of Red Prince, he will summon his ghost clones.

It is better to only focus on Red Prince himself rather than his clones. Once he summons his clones, go far from him and let him teleport to you. Dodge the stab and three-hit combo and then unleash your bullets on him to deal damage. As clones get closer to the players, they can repeat this process of letting the Red Prince come to them.

Rinse and repeat the strategy to deal damage to Red Prince and get to the center of the arena whenever the Fire Blizzard spawns. Do not aggress Red Prince as one little mistake can inflict players with CURSE and lower the chances of winning the fight.
