Remnant 2: How to Unlock the Alchemist Archetype

The Alchemist Archetype is one of the secret Archetypes in the game that players can unlock via a random event that takes place at Losomn World. The Alchemist Archetype is a support and utility-focused class that is effective for co-op. It specializes in buffing itself and allies with the use of vials and consumables. Other players around Alchemist Archetype will gain certain elemental effects and defensive bonuses. Alchemist’s starting Prime Perk allows it to have an Additional Concoction Buff active.

How to Unlock the Alchemist Archetype in Remnant 2

Alchemist Archetype can be unlocked by obtaining the Mysterious Stone, an exclusive material that can only be obtained by defeating Manticora. Manticora is a Beast-Type enemy that can only be found in Losomn World. After getting the Mysterious Stone, players need to take it to Wallace in Ward 13 area and use it with other required materials to craft the Philosopher’s Stone to unlock Alchemist Archetype. It is the Engram of Alchemist Archetype and players can equip it in the Primary or Secondary slot of their Archetypes to start using Alchemist Archetype and gain respective skills and perks.

How to Get Mysterious Stone

The Mysterious Stone is dropped by killing Manticora who can be found in various areas of Losomn World. Players can find the Manticora in the sewers portion of the following areas.

• Cotton’s Kiln
• Morrow Parish

All of these areas can be accessed as players progress through the main campaign. Cotton’s Kiln and Morrow Parish have a hidden entrance to the sewers. By going into the sewers, Manticora will come out and attack but retreat after a few moments. However, if players stand close next to any sewer gates in the area, an event will trigger in which Manticora will drag players inside the sewer gate. 

In the event, players will get to battle Manticora and by defeating it, they will get the Mysterious Stone. Manticora is not a boss or a mini-boss but an elite enemy who can be tackled easily.

How to craft Philosopher’s Stone

Once players have obtained the Mysterious Stone, they need to rest at the checkpoint and travel to Ward 13 area. Go to Wallace and interact with him and the Philosopher’s Stone will be available for crafting with the following required materials.

• 1x Mysterious Stone
• 10x Lumenite Crystal
• 1000 Scrap

Once players have all the required materials for the Engram, they will be able to craft it and equip it in one of the Archetype slots to use the Alchemist Archetype.
