Saros includes a number of mechanics that directly affect your gameplay, mainly combat. One of the mechanics that is essential to understand early is the Proficiency Level and what it does. During every run, you start at Proficiency Level 1, but it increases as you gather more and more Lucenite. Raising the Proficiency Level is crucial in every run, as it dictates the weapon level. How to Raise Proficiency Level Effectively in Saros

There is only one method to increase your Proficiency Level in Saros, and that is by gathering Lucenite. Gather as much Lucenite as possible to reach the max possible Proficiency Level. Eliminate all enemies and explore every possible route in a biome to collect the most Lucenite. However, when you eliminate enemies, the dropped Lucenite only remains temporarily, so you must be quick on your feet to collect it before it disappears.

Now, the enemies and biomes only get tougher as you progress through the game. If you are not making certain changes, you might not be reaching the potential Proficiency Level for the challenge. Here are the three main ways to raise the Proficiency Level effectively in Saros.

1. Improve Drive Attribute

You must invest in the Drive attribute to raise the maximum Proficiency Level you can reach during your run. The Drive attribute increases the maximum Proficiency Level. You can improve Drive permanently from the Armor Matrix in Primary at the Passage (hub). Invest the gathered Lucenite to activate the Drive nodes in the Armor Matrix. This will increase the Drive attribute permanently, allowing you to carry more Lucenite for the maximum Proficiency Level.

2. Activate Lucenite Upgrades

3. Pick Up Drive and Lucenite Artifacts

The final method that you can use is to prioritize the Drive and Lucenite-related Artifacts. Every time you open up a container for an Artifact, pick up the one with either Drive or Lucenite effects. Both of these will help you gain more Lucenite for a better Proficiency Level increase.
