Sony has released a new firmware update for the PlayStation 5. It is reported that the update weighs 868 MB and updates the console system software to version 20.02-02.25.00.

According to the changelog, the update improves system performance, but it is not yet known whether it solves any of the known problems that the first PS5 buyers managed to report.

The previous update 20.02-02.20.00 was released on the day of the console launch and was also aimed at improving the console’s performance.

The PlayStation 5 is currently available in North America, Japan, and some other regions. The official launch of the console in Europe and Russia will take place on November 19.
