It’s no secret that Ryu Hayabusa is one of the most requested characters by Super Smash Bros. fans. Well, the folks behind Ninja Gaiden, their franchise, seem to be aware of that.
In a recent meeting with Famitsu, Team Ninja’s Fumihiko Yasuda shared that they chose the Sigma versions of Ninja Gaiden because apparently both Ninja Gaiden 2 and Ninja Gaiden Black’s data wasn’t “recoverable”. He also expressed interest in making a sequel.
Along with this, he added that he is aware that fans are asking for Ryu Hayabusa to be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In response to this, he shares that the team is “waiting for an invitation”.
This makes it clear that they are interested in Ryu Hayabusa appearing in the Nintendo Switch fighting title. We’ll have to wait and see if it finally happens.
