Tencent announces Undawn, a new post-apocalyptic open-world RPG shooter for PC and mobile

Tencent continues to reveal projects for the future and as usual, the mobile market also enters its planes. Undawn, a multiplayer proposal for PC and mobiles, has already been announced.

After PUBG Mobile, Tencent wants to continue launching major titles on Android and iOS devices and also reach the PC market by the end of 2021. Recently, the Chinese company has revealed its next great work in this area: Undawn.

This is a shooter with RPG touches that takes place in a post-apocalyptic open world that has been invaded by zombies and other nasty creatures. Undawn will emphasize the cooperative mode and will also propose PvP matches. Control of resources and cooperation between players to survive all dangers will be key.

Here’s what their development team has commented: With Undawn, we wanted to create a new kind of action game that combines the freedom of the open-world with RPG elements that would completely redefine the genre, regardless of platform, explained Rick Li, the producer. Lightspeed & Quantum Studios executive.

The fact that we’ve created such an incredible experience for both mobile and PC platforms means that even more players from around the world will be able to survive the apocalypse together, creating the potential for a huge new kind of open-world experience.

Although it is a proposal that we have already seen on other occasions, it will be time to take a look at how it adapts to the mobile market, given that PUBG Mobile is one of the most downloaded games on the planet.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
