Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been nominated for Game of the Year

The full list of candidates for the TGA 2020 awards was announced during a live broadcast with ceremony producer Jeff Keeley.

The leader in the number of nominations was The Last of Us Part II: the game from Naughty Dog is presented in nine categories, with Ashley Johnson and Laura Bailey immediately claiming the award for best acting.

Hades from Supergiant Games took second place in the categories. An action game with elements of rogue-like, inspired by ancient Greek mythology, can receive statuettes in eight categories, including “Game of the year”, as well as awards for the soundtrack and the work of artists.

Also among the leaders were Ghost of Tsushima (seven nominations), the remake of Final Fantasy VII (six nominations), as well as DOOM Eternal and Half-Life: Alyx (four nominations each). All these games will compete for the main prize, which is also claimed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

You can vote for the winners on the official website of the Game Awards. The award ceremony will be broadcast live on December 10.
