Codemasters’ DiRT 5 Rally Race has benefited greatly since joining the Xbox Game Pass subscription service in February this year.
The technical head of the studio, David Springgate, spoke about this during a podcast. According to him, the project already felt pretty good, but immediately after adding to Game Pass, the number of players in it increased dramatically, which was a real surprise for the developers.
Springgate noted that this is an “absolutely fantastic” result that will no doubt extend the lifecycle of the game, which debuted last fall. DiRT 5 is now available as a subscription for Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC.
Last week, We reported that the number of active Xbox Game Pass subscribers had increased by more than 20% in the past few months to 23 million. Microsoft last disclosed the number of users of the service in January, at which time there were 18 million.
