The unpublished epilogue, Connected Futures could be played from the beginning in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
We have many interesting details coming from Japanese websites about Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition! And it seems that the new unpublished epilogue that would allow us to visit new areas of the game with Melia and Shulk, Connected Futures, would be playable from the beginning, allowing fans of the game to enjoy this new content in the first place if they have the fresh story and so they wish.
The epilogue to the main story: Connected Futures
In this new installment the additional story “Connected Futures” has been included, which takes place after completing the main story. Thus, those who have already played Xenoblade Chronicles will be able to enjoy a new adventure with Shulk. This new plotline seems to revolve around Shulk and Melia, who also appears in the main story, but will include some new characters, so stay tuned!
On the other hand, this additional story will be able to be played from the beginning of the game, so you will be able to enjoy it from the beginning!
Of course, this is not fully confirmed until the rest of the divisions confirm it, since it could well be an error in the news item that refers to the story being accessible from the game’s start menu (something that would be logical ), however, everything seems to indicate what will happen as with the Torna expansion in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 , and although it is not recommended, we will be able to enjoy this new story from the beginning!
