This is what the Lumineon sprite looked like in the beta version of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl
On multiple occasions, we have had the opportunity to show the differences between the designs originally thought for Pokémon during the development of the videogames and the ones that finally arrived with their release.
Well, recently Dr. Lava has published through his social media profile a curious version of Lumineon’s sprite, the one that existed during the development of the fourth generation Pokémon, Pokémon Diamond, and Pearl. Its differences with respect to the design that we all finally saw in the Nintendo DS titles are quite large, such as its shape or the distribution of colors, with black predominating in the version under development.
