Ubisoft’s Large Advertising Campaign for Star Wars Outlaws, But Previews are “Fair and Unbiased”
Ubisoft spent a large amount of advertisement funds for Star Wars Outlaws by hiring influencers to fly them out to the US (Los Angeles) to play the game for a few hours. Moreover, the company also organized the trips for the influencers to Disneyland after the testing where they spent the rest of the day as VIPs. The suspicion of this massive advertising campaign was raised in the community and a German YouTuber named Cyberpunk 20xx revealed it all in his video.
In the video, Cyberpunk 20xx conducted comprehensive research on Star Wars Outlaws advertisement funds and the videos of fellow YouTubers who are putting out content on the game. One of the content creators invited to Los Angeles by Ubisoft is LouiseJulie who uploaded a voice-over VLOG on her trip to L.A. Moreover, a streamer named Chewy was also invited by Ubisoft to California as he confirmed it in his tweet on X.
Despite the advertising campaign and taking care of all expenses of the influencers and content creators, Ubisoft did not pay any one of them for a preview of the game, concluding that all the impressions coming out of the previews of Star Wars Outlaws are honest and unbiased.
Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30, 2024, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
