V Rising: How to get blood essence

V Rising has different items and resources that you can get and you can use them to your own benefit. One of those resources is a Blood Essence. In this guide, we tell you how to get Blood Essence and why is it important.

How to Get Blood Essence

Blood Essence is the Energy Source that is distilled from the blood. So, this is a very basic resource that you can get by killing the living humans, bosses, creatures, and so on. In order to get it, you need to attack the enemy but not fully kill them because you won’t be able to get the blood essence if the enemy is dead. You need to feed on the enemy’s blood. So, just attack them and you’ll see the Feed option when you go near them, just do the feed operation and your character will drink the blood of the enemy and get the blood essence.

There are different types of blood in this game but it doesn’t matter what blood you feed on, you’ll get the blood essence. The blood types are to get the abilities temporary when you feed on them. There’ll also be a percentage of blood shown when you feed on the blood, it means you get that amount of blood from feeding. The Blood types that you can feed on in the game are the following.

• Creature
• Rogue
• Warrior
• Scholar
• Brute
• Worker
• Frailed

The frailed blood type is a default blood type that your character has from the start of the game and you’d also get this blood type by consuming the blood of a rat. It will have no bonuses but you can heal from it.

Use of Blood Essence

The blood essence is not only for your healing or consumption but the main reason to collect it is for your base. The Castle Heart needs the Blood Essence to stay fortified for longer. When you interact with the Castle Heart, you’d get the option to put the Blood Essence into it and the time of fortified will increase for Castle Heart.

You can also turn humans into obedient servants by using blood essence. You can also unlock the sealed knowledge by blood essence.
