Valheim 1.0 introduces a lot of new variety to your arsenal, especially for dealing with the threats in the Deep North biome. The new tier of weapons and armor pieces is essential to your survival in encounters, but so are the throwables. In the full release of Valheim, there is a new type of endgame throwable: Ember Charges. These are not regular explosive throwables, as they are essential to gathering Petrified Tissue, a crucial resource that you turn into Bloodgold. Without the Ember Charges, it is impossible to get Bloodgold. In this guide, we will explain how to get Ember Charges in Valheim.

How to Get Ember Charges in Valheim

You can get Ember Charges by crafting them at a Workbench. Although the required workstation to craft Ember Charges is not a problem, the required materials are. 10x Ember Charges cost 2x Seal Pelt and 1x Ember to craft.

Seal Pelt drops from hunting the seal creatures near the water in the Deep North biome. During your exploration, hunt the bigger Seals close to the water to have a higher chance of getting Seal Pelts.

Now, to get Ember, the first thing that you need to do is defeat Fader in the Ashlands. Once done, you will unlock the recipe to craft the Eternal Pyre, a workstation that spawns glowing orbs around it, and these glowing orbs give you Ember. To craft the Eternal Pyre, you need 1x Fader Relic, which is dropped by Fader, and 10x Stones.

Once you have the materials for the Eternal Pyre, head over to the workbench to craft it. Place the Eternal Pyre in your base and wait for the glowing orbs to appear. Collect the glowing orbs to get Ember.

Craft the Ember Charges at the Workbench

After setting everything up and gathering a decent number of Seal Pelts, craft as many Ember Charges as you can at the Workbench. It will cost 2x Seal Pelts and 1x Ember to craft 10x Ember Charge.

You are going to need a lot of Ember Charges to blow up the Petrified Gammeltroll in Deep North. Destroying the body of the Gammeltroll drops Petrified Tissue, which you can then smelt in a Blast Furnace to get Bloodgold.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
