Palia offers various types of bugs that players can catch while doing the Bug Catching Guild. Catching all rarities of bugs is the crucial step of leveling up the Bug Catching Guild to unlock advanced versions of the Belt, as well as new items and crafting recipes at the Bug Catching Guild Store. One of the new, rare bugs that players can catch is the King Crab. In this guide, we will tell you where to find and catch the King Crab in Palia.

Where to Find King Crab in Palia

The King Crab is one of the new rare bugs in the game that spawns randomly by picking up shells in the Royal Highlands map region. You have to look for the Shells across the Royal Highlands to have a chance of finding the King Crab. Enfield Shores is a big area south of the Royal Highlands, where you can easily find these shells. Moreover, the area south of the Amber Lake is another great spot to find shells. You might run into some shells that are inside Amber. Break the crystal using the Pick or by shooting arrows to grab the shell.

How to Catch King Crab in Palia

Catching the King Crab is easier than most bugs that roam freely in Royal Highlands. Upon finding a King Crab, use the Smoke Bombs to stun it.

Additionally, stunning the King Crab will require a couple of Smoke Bombs, so make sure you bring enough to stun it when you find it. If the King Crab gets alerted, it will try to flee in a straight line before burying into the ground. It is best to throw the Sticky Smoke Bombs on it to slow it down and then use the regular Smoke Bombs to stun it. Once you have stunned the King Crab, go near it and interact with it to pick it up.

NOTE: There is a chance you might run into an Amber-touched King Crab, which has an Amber around it.

Catching the Amber-touched King Crab will drop more Amber Echo. However, if you do not have the Echo Tracker, you will not get Amber Echo from catching King Crab or any other bug. Echo Tracker is a special relic that Eshelon gives during the “A Stitch in Time” quest.

Uses of King Crab in Palia

The main use of King Crab is to use it as a crafting ingredient for Belafontine’s Blessing III Relic. Other than that, players can sell King Crab for 150 Gold (Base) to Zeki or at the Shipping Bin. Moreover, you can also gift it to certain villagers who like it or those who need it. So, if you can find any King Crabs, store one in the storage so you can give one to the villagers who need it. The villagers’ needs change every week, so it is better to keep an eye on them. Lastly, you can use the King Crab as an ingredient for various cooking recipes.
