Where to find and how to get all the bonus Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

These are all the creatures and requirements that you must meet to complete your entire Pokedex, most after you have finished the game.

We have a lot of gifts available in the new Pokémon Legends: Arceus for Nintendo Switch, some creatures that we will be able to obtain in a series of requests or by fulfilling different requirements, many of them only possible when you have completed the adventure.

Specifically, the creatures that we can get totally free are Chimchar, Shiny Ponyta, Alolan Vulpix, Rowlet, Cyndaquil, Oshawott, Darkrai, and Shaymin, and some have a practically traced procedure, being able to get several even at the same time.

Get Chimchar for free

This fire-type creature is linked to request 20, specifically the “mysterious will-o’-the-wisp” that you can accept from Paira in Jubilee City when you’ve already advanced a good stretch of the main story. As soon as you finish the quest that it gives you, you will receive the creature.

Get Shiny Ponyta for free

Very similar to the previous one, you must go to Jubilee City and talk to Yota to start the request called “a very peculiar Ponyta” and once it is finished you will receive the creature.

Get Alolan Vulpix for free

You have to finish the story first to be able to access this free creature, specifically it will be given to you as part of request 83 of “a snow-white Vulpix”, and it will be available on the request board of the Galaxy Building, but always and when you have caught a Vulpix before.

Get Rowlet, Cyndaquil and Oshawott for free

You still have to beat the main story before you can access them, and you can’t get the starting three either, just the two you didn’t pick at the start of the game.

This is very easy, as soon as you have finished the game go to Jubilee City, stop by the professor’s laboratory in the Galaxy Building, and he will give you the two initial creatures that you did not choose at the beginning.

Get Darkrai for free

To obtain Darkrai, you must have a save file for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Brilliant Pearl on the same Nintendo Switch console on which you are playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

In addition to the above, in order for you to have a chance of obtaining the creature, you must first beat the main story and watch the credits.

As soon as you have done it, you must return to the game and go to Jubilee City where we can talk to a secondary character who will offer us a special research request. Once we finish it we will receive Darkrai.

Get Shaymin

To get Shaymin we must have a Pokémon Sword or Shield save the file on the same Nintendo Switch console on which we are enjoying Arceus.

Once with it, we must pass the main story and have seen the credits. Now we will only have to visit Jubilee City and talk to a secondary character who will ask us to overcome a special research request. Once we finish it we will receive the creature.
