Cyberpunk 2077 developer apologized to players for joking about the imminent release of the free add-on
Quest designer Pavel Sasko of the CD Projekt RED team apologized to the audience for the confusion that arose after his recent broadcast, where he hinted at the imminent release of a free add-on for Cyberpunk 2077. It turned out that the developer was just joking, not expecting that his quote would go all over the Internet.
For context, recall that at the end of last month, Sasco, while conducting another broadcast on his personal Twitch channel, played out a small scene in Cyberpunk 2077. The designer pointed the game camera at the face of one of the story NPCs, asking him to ” blink if DLC [for Cyberpunk 2077 ] will be out this month [July] “. The character really blinked, which is why some viewers concluded that in this way the developer neatly hinted at an imminent release of the add-on.
But as it turned out, the above was a commonplace joke. Sasco decided to do it due to the fact that fans are constantly bombarding him with various questions about the future of Cyberpunk 2077, asking for at least some kind of signal. Accordingly, the idea of blinking as a “teaser” is just a little tomfoolery intended exclusively for the developer’s Twitch audience. In the future, Sasco will try to interact more carefully with his viewers.
Recall that the release of Cyberpunk 2077 took place in December last year. Currently in production are versions for the next-generation PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S consoles.
