Far Far West: All Ways to Get Weapon Fragments

Weapon Fragments are a core progression resource for unlocking new weapons in Far Far West. These blue glowing shards act as unlock tokens for weapons. There are over fifteen weapons in Far Far West, categorized as primary, sidearm, and utility. To gain access to most of the weapons, you would have to complete their blueprint by acquiring weapon fragments. It is essential to unlock better weapons, as they will make encounters manageable alongside your spells. In this guide, we will tell you all the ways to get weapon fragments in Far Far West.

How to Unlock Weapons in Far Far West

As I mentioned above, unlocking weapons will require you to complete their blueprint by gathering Weapon Fragments. In addition to this, you must first track the weapon from the Saloon Locker that you want to unlock. After that, the weapon fragments for the selected weapon will start appearing in your runs. You need to collect 6 weapon fragments to complete the weapon blueprint. Once done, you will be able to put the weapon together at the Weaponsmith for 500 Gold.

All Ways to Get Weapon Fragments in Far Far West

There are four ways to get Weapon Fragments during your runs in Far Far West. The most reliable one is eliminating bosses, then hunting the Loot Coyote (enemy), then participating in the Forge event, and lastly, the Wishing Wells.

Defeat Bosses for a Guaranteed Weapon Fragment

Every boss in Far Far West drops a weapon fragment. It is the most reliable way to farm the weapon fragments for your tracked weapon and unlock it quickly. However, fighting bosses is not as simple as taking down regular enemies. After defeating the boss, make sure to pick up the weapon fragment. Moreover, if you are playing co-op, make sure to give call-outs to your partners so that they can get the weapon fragments for their weapons.

Hunt Down Loot Coyote for a Guaranteed Weapon Fragment

Loot Coyote is a rare enemy that spawns randomly during your run. If you spot one, chase it down to eliminate it. This enemy carries a bag with gold and a weapon fragment. As you eliminate Loot Coyote, you will get to pick up gold and a weapon fragment.

Complete Forge Event for a Guaranteed Weapon Fragment

The third way to get a weapon fragment is by participating in the Forge Event that appears randomly during your run. Open the map to see if there is any red anvil icon, it is the Forge event. Head to the event location and interact with the forge to start forging an item. While the item forges, you will have to survive a wave of incoming enemies. Upon surviving the wave, you can pick up your prize, a weapon fragment, from the forge.

Interact with Wishing Wells for a Chance to Get a Weapon Fragment

The final and least reliable way to get a weapon fragment is through the wishing wells. It is an RNG-based method, as the wishing well drops a random loot. You can get gold, consumables, or a weapon fragment after interacting with the wishing well. However, if you come across any, toss in a gold to test your luck.

Of all these methods, I strongly recommend you stick with the first one. It will let you consistently farm weapon fragments and unlock better weapons for your runs.
