In this guide, we will walk you through Muna’s Research quest, Chapter 2’s first main quest in Dave the Diver: In the Jungle.
Muna’s Research is Chapter 2’s first main quest in Dave the Diver: In the Jungle. After your first day in Utara Village, Muna will find you outside the shack. Speak with her to initiate Muna’s Research quest. She will ask you to dive into the hazard zones of the lake to retrieve an ancient sculpture. Fortunately, she will not let you dive without any precaution, so she will give you a Purification Filter. In this guide, we will walk you through Muna’s Research quest in Dave the Diver: In the Jungle.
Muna’s Research Quest Walkthrough – Dave the Diver: In the Jungle
Muna’s Research quest requires you to dive into the hazard zone of Utara Lake to find an ancient sculpture for Muna. While speaking with Muna at the start of Chapter 2, she will give you the Purification Filter. This filter allows you to be in the hazard zone of the lake for a limited time, resisting the Hydrogen Sulfide effects. However, you have to keep an eye on the yellow meter beside the oxygen tank to see how long you can stay in the hazardous zone.
Retrieve the Ancient Statue

After speaking with Muna, head to the pier below your house. Dive into Utara Lake and swim to the right. As you reach the pit below, dive deeper and keep going right. However, do not go deeper than 35m, as the Purification Filter does not work beyond this depth. Stay in the range of 25 to 30m, and Dave will spot the Ancient Statue once you get close.
Head to the “!” mark over a statue and interact with it to retrieve it. Be careful of the water at this level, as there are some Red Piranhas that can attack you. The Jungle Gun is effective against the piranhas, so shoot them if they attack. After getting the ancient statue, swim up or use the Escape Pod in the area to get back to the surface.
Give the Statue to Muna

Muna is beside Dave’s shack, on the left. Go and speak with Muna and show her the sculpture. As the conversation ends, Muna will reward you with 50 Doni (DLC’s main currency), and the quest concludes.
