Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Begins Today

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 begins today, November 6, 2026. The first season brings a ton of new content for players, including new multiplayer maps, modes, new DMZ content, new weapons, and much more. In addition to the new content for Modern Warfare 4, Warzone receives full integration with Modern Warfare 4, with two new maps. Here is everything you need to know about Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

When Does Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Release

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 releases on November 6 at 9 PM PT across all available platforms. Players can access Season 1 content after updating their game to the latest version on their platform. It is possible that not all known content arrives on the release date. A few of the new maps and modes will be added and swapped as the season goes on to keep things fresh for players.

New Multiplayer Maps and Modes in Season 1

Season 1 includes multiple new maps and modes for the multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. At the launch of the season, the following maps will join the list.

• Backstab
• Canyon
• Shoot House

All three of these maps are new, medium-sized, and in a 6v6 format.

As the season approaches its halfway point, the following new maps will be added to the list.

• Ministry
• Overflow
• Kill Block: Crash

At the release of Season 1, players can find the following returning modes in the list.

New DMZ Content in Season 1

With Season 1, the DMZ mode receives a couple of new content additions. This includes a new location on the map named X01 with a high-level threat. Exploring this location will test players’ parkour skills. In addition to the location, there are new DMZ Orders, specifically from Ghost. Last but not least, the DMZ receives new equipment items, world items, and new enemies to face in Hajin.

New Warzone Maps in Season 1

Warzone begins with Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The new era of Warzone receives two big maps, including Hajin and Zodiac. Players can expect new equipment items in Warzone, including the Grabber Drone, Zipline Launcher, and more.

Alongside these new additions, players can progress the Battle Pass for exclusive rewards. The Battle Pass includes 100+ rewards, with additional ones for Premium Battle Pass Holders. You can read the full list of expected rewards from the Battle Pass in the official patch notes.
