Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Data-Miner Reveal Fence Customizations, Building Upgrades, and More Will be Added With the May Update

The arrival of the collaboration with Sanrio in Animal Crossing: New Horizons scheduled for the end of March 2021 may raise some doubts. Here we bring you several issues ahead of its premiere, planned through a free update on March 18 that will be followed by the launch of the Sanrio amiibo cards in a six-pack.

The details that we leave you below are based on the operation of these Sanrio amiibo cards in the previous installment of the series, New Leaf. Here they are:

  • Can you get the Sanrio items without their respective amiibo cards?
    • After the update, the Sanrio amiibo cards will likely function in a similar way to the existing poster system that we get for scanning amiibo.
    • These posters are unlocked and can then be ordered through TeleNook’s special items section.
    • If the furniture that unlocks these Sanrio amiibo cards works the same, we could order as many as we want and then trade them with other players who don’t have these cards.
  • Can you invite and ask Sanrio’s new neighbors to stay in without the amiibo cards?
    • Rila, Marty, Etoile, Chai, Chelsea, and Toby can be invited if we have the amiibo cards, but if we do not have them it is unlikely. Currently, we cannot invite neighbors who are in other people’s camp areas.
    • On the other hand, even though these neighbors are “boxed,” considering what was happening in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, you couldn’t “adopt” Sanrio’s neighbors from another player’s city even when they were “boxed. ».
    • Nor are these new neighbors likely to appear in mysterious island searches like other neighbors.

For now, these details have not been officially confirmed, but everything indicates that, while the furniture can be obtained through exchange with players who do have the Sanrio amiibo cards, the neighbors will not be able to be obtained unless you have these cards. We will be attentive to more details; meanwhile, what do you think?
