Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – How to Unlock Flying Mount | Ikran Companion

Avatar - Unlock Ikran

The world map of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is big and holds a plethora of Flora, Fauna, RDA facilities, activities, and camps that players can unravel by exploring and progressing through the main story of the game. As Flora and Fauna provide certain crafting materials that are essential for crafting Gear Items and Weapons, players will have to revisit the regions often to strengthen their character. One of the best ways to travel effectively in Pandora is using your Ikran companion.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to unlock a flying mount or Ikran Companion in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

How to Unlock Flying Mount | Ikran Companion

Players can unlock the flying mount or so-called Ikran companion by completing the ‘Take Flight’ quest. It is one of the main story quests in the game and players will be able to complete it once they have reached level 5. To pursue the quest, players will have to traverse to Rockery and climb it to be chosen by an Ikran.

The rockery is located on the southwest side of the Kinglor Forest region which players can reach by traversing through the Silk Wood area. Once players have reached the Rockery, go through the cave to come out of another end from where you will be able to climb to the top and get chosen by Ikran.

Upon reaching the top of the Rockery, go near an Ikran slowly to soothe them and let them choose you as their rider. Once they have chosen you, you will get the option to select a name for your Ikran and select a pattern for it. You can only choose one of the names from the menu and it cannot be changed once selected. However, you can change the color/pattern of your Ikran as you can find several patterns through explorations.

How to Call Your Ikran

Once you have unlocked your Ikran, you will be able to call them by pressing the Up button on the D-Pad while jumping off a higher ground. You can ride Ikran to outmaneuver the helicopters of RDA as you can shoot while riding on Ikran. Fortunately, your Ikran does not take any damage and cannot be killed so you don’t have to worry about them dying and reclaiming a new one.
