Xbox Game Pass tweets hinted at DOOM Eternal appearing on service

Bethesda will reveal the details of the updated versions of DOOM Eternal and TES Online and will announce their release dates for PS5 and Xbox Series X in the coming weeks – probably at QuakeCon. In addition, the studio is working to ensure that both games are backward compatible with next-gen consoles as soon as they are released.

The publisher also announced that it plans to update its games released on the current generation of consoles free of charge to versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Here is the official statement:

We’ll have more information to share in the coming weeks and months about The Elder Scrolls Online and DOOM Eternal on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 including expected release windows and a list of enhancements. And while we don’t have any news to share just yet on our remaining catalog of titles, we can confirm we are committed to offering free upgrades for current-generation console owners of existing Bethesda titles we bring forward into the next generation of consoles.
