According to GfK analysts, Animal Crossing: New Horizons took first place in the UK retail chart this week after 11 weeks away.

Earlier in its quarterly report, Nintendo announced that New Horizons had reached 22.4 million copies by the end of June. In addition, it became the second best-selling game in Japan after Pokemon Red / Green / Blue with sales of New Horizons exceeding seven million copies in the country.

The previous leader, Ghost of Tsushima, moved down to number two with weekly PS4 exclusive sales down 46%. FIFA 20 also returned to the top 10 – before that the simulator disappeared from the chart for two weeks. In addition to her, other Electronic Arts games returned to the top, including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (20) and Need for Speed: Heat (16).

The only new release this week was Fast & Furious: Crossroads – the race from the authors of Project CARS started at # 17. Analysts noted that the game may not have the best starting performance, but in this case, only physical copies without sales in “digital” are taken into account.
