CDPR REFUNDS AROUND 30,000 COPIES OF CYBERPUNK 2077

Although Cyberpunk 2077 is already in a much better shape after multiple patches by CD Projekt RED, the game still has a long way to go. You will remember how disastrous its launch was, with its developers issuing refunds every day, and today we already have a ballpark figure of how many they made.
During a financial meeting held today, CDPR executives provided more details on the number of refunds issued. Approximately, the study allocated $2.23 million dollars in its program “ Help Me Refund ” program, which covered all shipping costs for users anywhere in the world, as well as other expenses that could arise during the return process.
But exactly how many of these copies were reimbursed? According to CDPR, they received approximately 30 thousand refund requests for Cyberpunk 2077. In fact, it was also reported that the title had already reached 13.7 million copies sold in 2020, although they stressed that this figure could vary due to multiple factors, specifically, the withdrawal of the game from the PSN Store and how this decision by Sony influenced the sales of the title on other platforms.
Last but not least, Cyberpunk 2077 is reported to have had a budget of $316 million. Regarding sales, this is how they were distributed by platform:
- 56% on PC or Stadia
- 28% on PlayStation
- 17% on Xbox One
Recall that CDPR still has plans to release the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 during the second half of the year. Hopefully, by then the game will be “almost” clean of bugs and glitches.
