Cyberpunk 2077 will have performance mode and resolution mode on Xbox Series X|S, but not on PS5

Cyberpunk 2077 developers plan to reduce the number of dildos on the streets in the game

The PS5 version of Cyberpunk 2077 will run at 60 FPS by default; on Xbox Series X|S you can choose between performance mode and resolution mode.

What a Christmas present we have had with Cyberpunk 2077, the Projekt CD RPG that has become by its own merit one of the best games of the last years.

The new PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles will receive the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2021 with free updates and many graphic improvements in a title that already looks great on current consoles and PCs. We remind you that tomorrow, December 10th, the futuristic RPG will make its official debut.

Some media have already tested the PS4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5, through backward compatibility, and the same with the Xbox One version on Xbox Series X|S consoles. And they have discovered a very striking option that differentiates both versions…

Apparently, Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox Series X|S allows us to choose between resolution mode and performance mode in the game options, which will apply either higher graphics quality or greater fluidity depending on what we choose.

However, this option is not available on PS5. Cyberpunk 2077 runs at 60 FPS by default on Sony’s next-gen console, although this seems to be a product of the day 1 patch which applied these two modes on Xbox console versions.

Of course, we have not yet been able to test the new generation versions of Cyberpunk 2077 which as we say will arrive in a few months but the backward compatibility of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S allows us to draw these conclusions.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
