The new Fishing Activity in Destiny 2 attracts a lot of players in the Looter-Shooter game to divert their minds for a little bit to play a mini-game of catching the fish. Catching the fish is relatively easier than the rest of the activities in the game but it can be a game of patience and challenge if you are trying to catch a Legendary Fish. Legendary Fish are the rarest and they can only be caught if you increase the chances of getting rare fish.

How to Catch Legendary Fish in Destiny 2

As the Legendary Fish are the rarest to catch, you will have to increase the chances of catching rare fish. To increase the chances of catching rare fish, you will have to do the following 2 things.

• Use Bait while fishing.
• Fill up the Focused Fishing Meter

Using the Bait will allow you to catch Rare and Exotic fish on Perfect Catch. You can get bait by doing usual activities or the new activities in the update and when you go to the pond location to fish, your character will automatically use bait on the hook. You can hold up to 500 Baits in your inventory and when you cast the line with the bait by pressing the interaction button, you need to catch the fish as quickly as possible when the prompt appears on the screen. If you press the interaction button late, it might lower the chances of getting an exotic fish.

You need to keep catching fish by using baits and once you have caught a number of exotic and epic fish, the bar of Focused Fishing Meter will increase. Every time you catch a fish and grab it to store in your inventory, the focused fishing meter will increase for all of the players on the dock. It does not matter whether they are in your party or not. If anyone else grabs an exotic fish, the focused fishing meter will fill up for you as well.

Once the Focused Fishing Meter is full, the next line that you will cast in the water will have the highest chance of getting a Legendary Fish. You just have to be consistent with the Perfect Catch. If you do the Perfect Catch, most likely you will get the Legendary Fish. When you pull out the fishing line, the fish will glow like a legendary item and you just have to go near it to grab it and store it in your inventory.

The legendary fish can reward you with rare items, weapons, armor, and even with a new Just in Case Legendary Sword. So, make sure to turn it in the Aquarium to claim your rewards.
