Destiny 2: How to Solve the Founts of Light and Darkness Puzzle – The Final Shape

During your main campaign adventure of The Final Shape expansion of Destiny 2, there are several puzzles that you will encounter. These puzzles act as the main objectives for the course of the missions and one of the puzzles that players will get to solve is the Founts of Light and Darkness.

This puzzle is a part of the third main mission called Exegesis and as players pursue the mission objectives, they will eventually reach a cavern area with flowing Founts. This guide will help you how to solve the Founts of Light and Darkness Puzzle in Destiny 2.

How to Solve the Founts of Light and Darkness Puzzle in Destiny 2: The Final Shape

The puzzle area will include four flowing Founts two of which are for Light and two of them are for Darkness. You need to Untangle them by placing the respective Motes on them. However, you cannot simply place the Light and Darkness Motes at any time as they need to be untangled in a specific order.

To find the correct order, go over to a flowing fount and see how many beams of light are on it. The beams of light indicate the number of the Fount in order for you to untangle it.

1. Light Fount
2. Dark Fount
3. Light Fount
4. Dark Fount

Now, after figuring out the order, start by getting the Crystalline Key to open a secret room in the cave and pick up the Light Motes Relic. Deliver it to the first Fount on the wall and then eliminate the enemies to get the Darkness Motes Relic. Bring it to the Dark Fount on the ground and then repeat the process for the last two Founts to complete the puzzle.
