In this guide, we’ll tell you how to defeat Andariel, Maiden of Anguish in Diablo IV.
How to Defeat Andariel in Diablo IV
Andariel, Maiden of Anguish is a three-phased main boss in the game summoned by Elias. The boss fight takes place in the middle of the sand storm and the edges of the fight arena are covered with sand blizzard which will deal damage if players get closer to it. So, it is best to stay out of the edges of the arena and do your best to dodge and evade the attacks of Andariel without getting into the sandstorms.
To defeat Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, players will have to get through three phases of her. The first phase of Andariel is pretty easy as there are only two major attacks that she can do. She will be chained up and players will have to dodge the Rune Chains attack and AoE attack by evading them. Players need to focus on hitting Andariel to deal as much damage as they can and it is best to inflict Andariel with Poison or other effects to deal damage to her over time. As she will be teleporting often, with the inflicted effect, she will still take damage.
If players get caught with Chain Rules, they will be slowed and they can be freed by breaking the chains. Once players have depleted Andariel HP below the 1st triangle, Andariel will break through the chains and she will do three more attacks. She will pound on the ground if players get close enough to her. Players need to dodge in any direction to dodge this attack. She will swipe in the front direction that can be dodged in the back direction or absorbed with the defensive ability. The last attack that she does is similar to the AoE attack and players have to watch out for the red outlines on the arena and stay away from them until the flames disappear.
Once players have depleted the HP below the 2nd triangle, she will get more aggressive and start to lay out her attacks more often. Players need to walk around the arena to dodge the projectiles and hit her with any open window to continuously deal damage to her. Getting around her attacks is not that hard if the dashes or evades are saved for proper moments.

Upon depleting the full HP of Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, she will be defeated and players will be rewarded with Gold, XP, and Gear.
