Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Solve the Ghost Hunt Puzzle

The Haunted Floating Festival is back in Disney Dreamlight Valley, this time with new puzzles and rewards. It is a limited-time event that will remain active until October 31, 2026. The final puzzle requires you to hunt down the ghosts inside the haunted house. In this guide, we will explain how to solve the Ghost Hunt Puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley for the Haunted Floating Festival.

The Haunted Floating Festival in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Haunted Floating Festival is a time-limited event, taking place at a temporary floating island in the sky from October 7, 2026, to October 31, 2026. During the event, players can visit the new floating island and solve the puzzles to earn rewards. This is a returning event from last year. There were five puzzles last year, and four new puzzles have been added in this year’s event.

NOTE: If you have completed last year’s event, your progress will carry over.

How to Get to the Haunted Floating Festival Island

There are a couple of ways to get to the Haunted Floating Festival Island to participate in the event. The first method is to find and interact with a mysterious new portal in the Plaza. Merlin will take you to the newly appeared portal in the Plaza. The new portal is at the center of the plaza, opposite the portal to the Dark Castle. Interact with the new portal to teleport to the Haunted Floating Festival Island.

Alternatively, players can use the quick “Teleport” button under the event tab of the game to get to the new floating island. To do so, open the Haunted Floating Festival section under the Event tab, and you will see the Teleport option on the page. Select the teleport option, and the player will spawn on the island.

How to Solve Ghost Hunt Puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Ghost Hunt Puzzle is inside the haunted house on the floating island. To complete the Ghost Hunt puzzle, you need to photograph 10 ghosts inside the haunted house.

NOTE: Make sure you have unlocked the Bedroom using the Haunted Key; otherwise, you cannot get all the ghosts.

Here are all the ghost locations in the Haunted House.

1. 2 in the main room of the haunted house.
2. 3 in the basement or storage room of the haunted house.
3. 3 in the bedroom hallway of the haunted house.
4. 2 in the bedroom of the haunted house.

In the main room, you can easily spot the ghosts moving around. Equip your camera and take a photo of the ghosts to capture them. After that, head to the basement and look for the ghosts. There is one on the wall on the left, the other is above the red chest, and the last one is beside the second red chest. Once done, head to the bedroom hallway. They will all be floating around, and you can capture them at once. Lastly, head inside the bedroom to take the picture of the final two ghosts.

After taking pictures of all ten ghosts, a red pouch will drop on the floor. Pick it up and open it from the inventory to get the “Ghost” as a reward.
