Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Crown or the Claw – Quest Walkthrough

The Crown or the Claw is the third Friendship Quest for The Beast that players will get to unlock once they have reached Friendship Level 7 with The Beast.

In this guide, we’ll be covering the Crown or the Claw quest for The Beast in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

The Crown or the Claw – Walkthrough

Once players have finished the Be Our Friend quest and leveled up their Friendship Level to Level 7 with The Beast, they will unlock the Crown or the Claw quest. Players need to talk to The Beast and select the quest option to start the quest.

Follow Beast to see his Confrontation with Mother Gothel

After talking to the Beast to start the quest, follow him and listen to his confrontation with Mother Gothel.

Check in with the Beast

Once the Beast has finished talking to Mother Gothel, go and talk to the Beast.

Give the Beast some space and try to defuse the situation

You need to talk to Mother Gothel to get her side of the story. Let the Beast cool off for a moment.

Talk to the Beast

Once you have got Mother Gothel’s side of the story, go and talk to the Beast to see how he is doing.

Pick up the broken Furniture Pieces

After talking to the Beast, go inside the Beast’s Castle and pick up 5 broken furniture pieces.

Gather materials to repair furniture

You need to gather the following materials to repair the beast’s furniture.

• 12x Hardwood
• 20x Softwood
• 10x Dry Wood
• 5x Fabric

Repair the furniture

Once you have gathered all the required materials, go to the crafting stations and repair the following furniture items under the Furniture Tab.

• Repaired Regal Plush Couch
• Repaired Regal Low Table

Meet the Beast inside his castle

After repairing the Beast’s furniture, go inside his castle and talk to him to give him the repaired furniture items.

Talk to Merlin

Once you have given the repaired furniture items to the Beast, talk to Merlin to fill him in the situation between the Beast and Mother Gothel.

Gather the Materials for the Mirror of True Seeing

After talking to Merlin, you need to gather the following materials.

• 1x Gold Ingot
• 3x Purified Night Shard
• 5x Glass
• 5x Dream Shard

Craft the Mirror of True Seeing

Once you have gathered all the required materials, go to the crafting station and craft the Mirror of True Seeing under the Furniture tab.

Place the Mirror by the entrance of the Giant Willow Tree

Go to the Glade of Trust biome and enter the Build Mode to place the Mirror of True Seeing near the entrance of the Giant Willow Tree.

Talk to Mother Gothel

After placing the mirror, talk to Mother Gothel.

Return to the Beast

Now, you need to return to the Beast and talk to him for the final time to conclude the quest.

Rewards

Completing the Crown or the Claw quest will reward players with 2020 Friendship Points with the Beast.
