Elden Ring: Best Starting Classes

Classes are the one main thing In RPG games that confuses the beginners of the game. Classes define the player characteristics which include their Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Level, etc. Stats in the classes improve with the progress in the game. At first, players are allowed to access only 10 classes which are:

  • Astrologer
  • Prisoner
  • Confessor
  • Vagabond
  • Samurai
  • Hero
  • Bandit
  • Warrior
  • Wretch
  • Prophet

In this article, you will be able to find which ones are the best for beginners and which ones are the best classes among these classes.

Vagabond

Let’s begin with Vagabond this is your got sword and shield tank. A newcomer should feel right at home because this is one of the most forgiving starting classes in Elden Ring. It comes with the highest number of points in Vigor of all classes which are 15 giving it a massive HP pool right from the very beginning. Its generous point distribution into strength and dexterity which is 14 and 13 respectively means you can wield almost any kind of melee at the start of the beginning. There are also some down sites with a lower FP and limited access to magic attributes.

Vagabond

Warrior

This class is recommended to somebody who is at an intermediate level in the soul genre. It’s not 100% mandatory but at the time of dodging and your attack, this will be helpful. The warrior favors Dexterity which is a perfect couple with the two Scimitar that you are already equipped with at the start of the game. These can either be dual-wielded or used in conjunction with a small leather shield but the swords are the highlights because they are fast and deadly. Warrior can deal insane damage at the very beginning of the game. The reason 12 points in Mind. Also have some drawbacks means low Vigor and little HP means you will be heavily punished if you’re not being careful.

Warrior

Hero

It’s a little similar to Vagabond except it favors a lot more at the cost of some Dexterity and a little bit of Hp. That means you are going to be able to dodge a lot quicker and easier. If you want the Vagabond class to move faster and deal more damage and still defend itself then the Hero is probably the class for you. It comes with a Battle Axe that’s a really fast and strong weapon that can immediately deal a lot more damage than the Vagabond. It is an oriented class which means it has limited points into magic.

Hero

Samurai

The previous classes lagged Ranged Weapons well the samurai does not because it comes equipped with a Long Bow and quite several good arrows from the very beginning meaning that you are prepared for both long and short-range. In the beginning, you will be punished from long range so Samurai will help you out. You will also be able to access some other powerful tools from the very beginning one of them is Uchi Katana which makes a comeback from the previous soul’s games. Samurai favor Dexterity at the beginning having about 15 points with some extra points going into health and stamina.

Samurai

Astrologer

Astrologer came in Spell Caster class. It’s a pure magic class version of Elden Ring. You will get 15 points in Mind which means a lot more manner for you. You will also get about 16 points into Intelligence and quite a bit for Dexterity. At the same time, this is the class with the lowest Hp and defenses in the game meaning that your positioning has to be on point. Your starting gear includes a staff that will let you cast spells. You will be able to access two of these from the very beginning one of them is called Glintstone Pebble which is a more single target spell and then you have the Glintstone Arc which is more aoe oriented on the top of that you will get a short sword and a smaller shield.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
