Kenneth Haight’s Quest
Talk to Kenneth Haight
When you interact with him, he’ll ask for your help and to take back his fort that is overtaken by a knight. He’ll tell you that he is the next rightful heir of the Limgrave and so on.
Take back the Fort Haight
So, what you have to do is to go to his fort and defeat the knight that he was telling you about. The fort he would be telling you about is the Fort Haight. It is near the For Haight West Site of Grace.

Now once you have reached Fort Haight, don’t take the fight with other enemies just go up the stairs and there’ll be a knight there. Just defeat the Knight and you’ll get an Ash of War: Bloody Slash from him.

Go Back and Talk with Kenneth Haight
After defeating the knight, go back to Kenneth Haight and talk to him. He’ll thank you and give you a reward of Erdsteel Dagger.
Pledge Service to Kenneth Haight
When you get the Erdsteel Dagger from him, talk to him again and he would ask you to come into his service and he can make you a knight. A dialogue box will appear in which you can choose to accept the service or deny the service.

Pledge Service
If you pledge service to him, he’ll say to you that he’ll meet you at Fort Haight, go there and you’ll see demi-humans inside the Fort Haight. Go up the stairs and talk to Kenneth Haight and he will tell you that he cannot actually make you a knight right now. So basically, he used you to get his fort back and if you kill him there, you’ll get a Golden Seed.
Do Not Pledge Service
If you deny pledging service then nothing will happen and you can continue your journey.
