Here's the solution for the "you do not have permission to play Fortnite" error

Did you receive the message “You do not have permission to play Fortnite” when you launch the game? Why do you need permission? Who do you ask for permission? These questions may also make you confuse. Well, you’re not alone. And don’t worry, you can fix the error by following fixes.

How to fix the “You do not have permission to play Fortnite” error

  • Go to the Epic Game Store.
  • When you get to the Sign In screen, select Forgot your password.
  • Next, it will ask you for your email. Enter any of the past emails that you think might have ever been connected to your Epic Games account.
  • If you get an email from Epic Games on one of the emails that you entered, then you know that this past email is connected to your Epic Games account.
  • Login to Epic Games using this old email
  • Select Connections.
  • Select Accounts.
  • Unlink the past email from your Epic Games account.
  • Now log out of this old email account.
  • Log back into your Epic Games account using the email you want to be associated with it.
  • Select Connections.
  • Select Accounts.
  • Link the correct email to your Epic Games account.
