Hiroshi Masuoka, Voice actor for Master Roshi has died
Hiroshi Masuoka was a Japanese actor, voice actor and narrator from Minami, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. He voiced the roles of Masuo Fuguta in Sazae-san and Jam Ojisan in Soreike! Anpanman. He also voiced Kame-Sennin during the last episodes of Dragon Ball Z and all of Dragon Ball GT, following Kōhei Miyauchi’s death.
The 83-year-old played Master Roshi in four episodes, named #288-291, however. he also voiced the character in a number of Dragon Ball spin-offs.
Mr Masuoka is also known for Masuo Fuguta in Sazae-san and Jam Ojisan in Soreike! Anpanman.
According to the Japanese Media, Hiroshi Masuoka passed away over the weekend following his fight with rectal cancer. The actor was given a private funeral by his relatives, and per his wishes, there will be no public memorial service for fans to attend.
